COME AND JOIN US!
AFYD is now running at full capacity and needs the assistance of people in the community to train with us as Coaches or Volunteers so we can deliver to a greater number of people in the community. We provide the training free of charge for each Coach and Volunteer the training will require you to be available for 3-6 weekends 9am to 5pm to be taught and qualify.
Training will take place in areas within reasonable travelling distance, making access to the training by travelling easier. The venues for training vary but they are usually completed within a school or community centre with lunch being provided. Persons embarking on a course would have to submit to a CRBS (Central Registered Body for Scotland) check and PVG certification. AFYD accepts any person thought to be capable of completing the course and people with additional needs will be catered for where possible. So if you are aged 18 years or above and want to become involved contact the AFYD Administrator by completing a coach application form or a volunteer applicationĀ form on this website.
Remember even if you cannot fish we will teach you free of charge which will allow you to then complete the coaching course or volunteer course.
