" Aphids may
be the bane of gardeners lives but like all insects they
are part of diverse food chains and hence
the solar powered foundations of natural history.
Likewise AFYDS are of the same ilk a new branch of caring sharing natural historians,
anglers to be exact who know how important it is to keep all our rivers and streams
clean oxygen rich and in good fettle.
That's what ANGLING FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT is all about, getting our youngsters
out into the great outdoors.
Discovering how to discover, the wonders of natural history in their own backyards
and the worthwhile open air pastimes and employment on offer in the wise use
and management of our rivers. Let alone the health of the countryside that depends
on them.
Real sport anglers both female and male have always been the local guardians
of our rivers, streams and lakes speaking up when things go wrong. and getting
down to the work of rehabilitation.
That's why they are backing AFYD. There is a tremendous amount of work already
underway across Britain and there is much more to be done. Waterwise Youth to
the rescue that's why I am proud to be a Patron of AFYD"
