On
Monday June 15th 2009 Angling For Youth Development unveiled
its new game angling course which has been credit
rated and levelled on the Scottish Course Qualifications
Framework at Blairgowrie High School, Perthshire.
Present were members of Scotlands angling community, Government,
and local authorities, to be fully briefed about AFYD's growing
number of projects and courses.
The course has been granted Level 5 staus with up to 26
SCQF points available on completion. This unique modular programme
for Trout Fishing encompasses both the practical skills acquisition
and theoretical knowledge required by Anglers to understand
and appreciatte the finer points of angling.
The pilot course enters the school cirricullum at Blairgowrie
High School on the18th June 2009.
On the Scottish Course Qualifications Framework Level 5 status
is broadly comparable to, but not the equivilant of, an SVQ
level 2 or GCSE Standard Grade. Click
